This will be my fourth year volunteering at the Kiwanis Henry County Fair, and it is definitely one of my favorite community events! I’ve enjoyed bringing my family for many years starting with when my kids were toddlers. The Kiwanis Fair has a great section of rides for little ones, and with a wristband, they could ride them over and over again (and boy did they). Now that they are older, they still like the wristbands but are more interested in the bigger rides that I don’t have the stomach or desire to ride!
As a Kiwanian, I love volunteering to work the gate at the Fair. I get to see the excited faces of the children as they catch their first glimpse of the fairgrounds – plus I usually see lots of familiar faces come through the gate, as our community is great about supporting this worthwhile event. A lot of people don’t realize that all of the proceeds from the Kiwanis Henry County Fair stay right here in the County through grants to local non-profits. That’s something that really sets us apart from other Fairs in the area.
Question: Which day are you thinking of Attending the fair? (See the Schedule)
